44 students and 4 staff were lucky enough to spend the first part of the half term holiday in Iceland.
The group stayed in Reykjavik and spent some time exploring the capital city. We had time in the Secret Lagoon, a naturel geothermal pool before experiencing the wonders of Geysir and Gullfoss waterfalls. Students then walked from the Eurasian plate to the North American plate as they crossed the constructive plate boundary.
We boiled eggs and tasted lave bread straight from the hotsprings and time was also spent walking to some of the newest land on the island as we ventured to the edge of the lava field from the 2021 Fagradalsfjall eruption.
A great time had by all!
