Joe (year 11) has been accepted onto the Ocean Youth Trust Northern Leadership programme and he will help to crew the tall ship James Cook later in the year.

Only five candidates have been selected, following an interview last Monday and we are all immensely proud of him.  

Ocean Youth Trust North is a charity specialising in the personal development of young people and adults through the unique medium of ocean sailing. They offer a safe but exhilarating residential experience that changes lives and inspires futures. Young people acquire a range of life skills learnt while working as a team and rising to the challenge of the sea whilst learning to overcome personal fears and obstacles and go on to shape a brighter future for themselves and their community.
