School transport for students in catchment is organised by North Yorkshire Council (NYC) Passenger Transport Team, and further information can be found on the NYC website.
Is my child eligible for free school transport?
NYC provide free school transport to Upper Wharfedale School if it is the catchment school or nearest school to your home and is over 3 miles walking distance away or where the route to the school is not safe to walk. NYC will automatically assess students eligibility and will send a bus pass to your home address if you are eligible.
Further information about eligibility can be found on the following link: School transport for reception to year 11 children | North Yorkshire Council
If a student is not entitled to free school transport, please see our paid bus pass information below.

Can I drive my child to school?
You are able to drop your child off at school but we politely request that you stay outside of the school grounds as there is no room in the car parks due to school buses and staff arriving. We also request that you are considerate of our neighbours and park respectfully on the residential streets.
