A group of Year 8 students have produced a book of stories called ‘Seeking Safety’ to raise awareness of the plight of refugees and to celebrate Upper Wharfedale School gaining School of Sanctuary status. These are available for sale to raise funds for UNHCR, British Red Cross, and Médecins Sans Frontières (charities that the children chose) at the bargain price of £3.

Mrs Harris, English Teacher, said: “The children have written some fabulous tales and honed their writing skills, and put lots of effort into making this booklet be their best work: please buy one and tell them well done!”
