UPPER Wharfedale Young Farmers including Nathan Johnson (year 9 ) and Daniel Aynesworth (year 8) have won the Yorkshire County Stockman of the Year 2022 competition held in Otley.
The contingent of 11 young farmers travelled to Wharfedale Auction Mart on March 5 to compete where the club judged four pens of livestock – beef, dairy, butcher’s lambs and breeding ewes.
The UWYFC went on to win the Hannah Brown Memorial Trophy for the club with the most points after gaining an astonishing 3,640 points in the day, competing with 18 other clubs from across the Yorkshire region.
